The carry barrel is normally used to carry grass clippings, but it may also be used to store solar heated water. An inexpensive polyethylene tube installed inside the carry barrel may then be used to transfer heat from the solar heated water. This heat exchange system preheats water before it ever enters a oil hot water heater and this can save a lot of oil. it’s low cost and simple to build so what are you waiting for?
